Equature — Rebuilding the Digital Face of a Public Safety Tech Leader
Equature provides 911 transcription and redaction software to call centers across the United States. When they came to Shawn Paps Media, their website didn't reflect the company they'd become. We scrapped the outdated WordPress build and delivered a fast, modern Astro.js + React site that finally looks like what Equature is — a leader in public safety technology.
Equature's software is deployed in 911 call centers across the country. Their technology is serious, their clients are government agencies and public safety organizations, and their product is trusted when it matters most. Their website told none of that story.\n\nThe existing WordPress site was slow, visually dated, and underselling the company at every touchpoint. In an enterprise B2B space where credibility is everything — where a procurement officer or a 911 center director is evaluating vendors — first impressions online carry real weight. Equature needed a web presence that matched the caliber of the product behind it.

The goal wasn't to add more to the site. It was to cut everything that was working against them and rebuild with intention.
Platform & Stack
WordPress was the right tool for a different era. For a company positioning itself as a technology leader in public safety, the platform itself was a liability — slow builds, bloated overhead, and a ceiling on what the experience could feel like. We moved the project to Astro.js with React components: a modern, performant stack that loads fast, scales cleanly, and signals technical credibility to the engineers and decision-makers evaluating Equature as a vendor.
Design Direction
Public safety technology has a look — and it's usually sterile, clipart-heavy, and forgettable. We pushed in the opposite direction. Clean, confident, and built around trust signals: clear product messaging, intuitive navigation, and a visual hierarchy that guides a visitor from landing to understanding to action without friction.
UX That Earns the Meeting
Equature's sales cycle doesn't end on the website — but it can start or stall there. We structured the site to answer the right questions in the right order, so by the time a prospect reaches out, they already understand what Equature does, why it matters, and why it's the right choice. Less convincing needed in the room.
